Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

So I’m binge-watching Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and I have to admit I’m really liking the show. I’m up to season two, episode nineteen, and it’s been solidly entertaining for the whole trip (so far!)

One of the funny things is there are a couple of folks from Sons of Anarchy showing up as minor characters. It’s always weird when you see someone in a new role, even if it’s a minor one. The other cool thing is characters actually get killed, like Tripp getting turned to ash or stone. Brutal.

I’m loving the tech and lab stuff. Fitz and Simmons are both fantastic in their roles. I’m enjoying how Fitz is dealing with a severe disability. In fact, it’s nice to see several characters with disabilities who are kicking ass in their respective fields. Bravo to the Whedon brothers.

I used to collect Marvel comics for ages, and I liked Nick Fury. The last piece of original comic art I own is a page from Iron Man fighting Nick underwater. It’s a great piece, and it’s signed by both the artist and inker.

If you haven’t watched it yet, SHIELD is a rollercoaster of fun and intrigue. Recommended!
